Οι φωτογραφίες αποτυπώνουν μια site-specific, Butoh performance μακράς διάρκειας που έλαβε τόπο κοντά σε 22 σταθμούς του μετρό της Αθήνας κατά τη διάρκεια 22 ημερών. Το σώμα θυμάται και αποπειράται να επαναδημιουργήσει αυτή τη διαδρομή στο Ρομάντσο, δημιουργώντας ένα παιχνίδι ανάμεσα στο τι συνέβη «έξω» και στο τι συμβαίνει «μέσα» για να χαρτογραφήσει τελικά έναν καινούριο τόπο συνεύρεσης μεταξύ του παρελθόντος και του παρόντος, του εφήμερου και του αιώνιου, της μνήμης και της έκπληξης του αναπάντεχου.
Η performance παρουσκιάζεται στο πλαίσιο του Athens ANIMFEST, και συγκεκριμένα των διαδράσεων επί σκηνής (MULTIMATION - project Metamorphosis#1, επιμέλεια Vermeire Geert, Βέλγιο)

Η Κατερίνα Δρακοπούλου είναι performer, χορεύτρια Butoh, και εκπαιδεύτρια σωματικού θεάτρου και παραστατικών τεχνών. Αφού ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της (MA in Ensemble Physical Theatre, University of Huddersfield; MA in Performance, Goldsmiths College; BA in Drama and Theatre Studies, University of Kent) δίδαξε ως λέκτορας στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Leeds και στο Manchester Metropolitan University. Από το 2010 οργανώνει και διδάσκει μαθήματα και σεμινάρια επικεντρώνοντας στις ψυχοσωματικές διαδικασίες στην κατάρτιση του ηθοποιού. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε παραστάσεις στην Ελλάδα, Αγγλία, Ιαπωνία και Αμερική και έχει συνεργαστεί με σημαντικούς καλλιτέχνες Butoh, όπως τον Tetsuro Fukuhara, τον Valentin Tszin, τον Katsura Kan και την ομάδα Torifune Butoh-Sha. Το Μάρτιο/Απρίλιο του 2016 εργάστηκε ως ερμηνεύτρια στη Μέθοδο της Marina Abramovic στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη. Τον Απρίλιο του 2016 παρουσιάσε τη σόλο, long-durational, site-specific παράσταση Butoh “22 stops” στο “In Progress Feedback Festival” που τιμήθηκε με έπαινο. Τον Ιούνιο του 2016 το “22 stops” παρουσιάστηκε στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη στο πλαίσιο του “[Mis/Dis] Placed: Performances” στο Athens Photo Festival 2016 καθώς και στο Beton7 στο πλαίσιο της έκθεσης “Visions – V Ideas, Performances, 3rd edition”.
Η Ιουλία Λαδογιάννη είναι εικαστικός καλλιτέχνης με ειδίκευση στην φωτογραφική εικόνα και την εφαρμογή της τέχνης στην καθημερινή πρακτική. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Αθήνα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη, στην Αγγλία και στην Ισπανία και έχει παρουσιάσει ατομική έκθεση στα πλαίσια του 5ου Διεθνή Μήνα Φωτογραφίας στην Αθήνα. Συνεργάστηκε στο project 22 stops που παρουσιάστηκε στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη στα πλαίσια του Athens Photo Festival και στη γκαλερί Beton 7. Έχει πτυχίο στη φωτογραφία από τη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών του Wolverhampton University της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας [Ba(Hons) Photography & Fine Art as social practice] με ισοτιμία από τη Σχολή Εικαστικών Τεχνών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Έχει διδάξει σε σεμινάρια δημιουργικής φωτογραφίας στο ΕΚΚΕΕ του ΟΚΑΝΑ, σε δημόσια και ιδιωτικά ΙΕΚ και στον ΑΚΤΟ. Είναι μέλος του Επιμελητηρίου Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδας.

A body converses with a series of photographs, presented within a video projection.
The photographs capture a long durational, site-specific, Butoh performance that took place near 22 metro stations in Athens during the course of 22 days. The body remembers and attempts to reconstruct and recreate this journey in Romantso, through interplay between what happened “outside” and what happens “inside”, thus creating a new topos that connects past and present, the ephemeral and the permanent, memory and the surprise of the unexpected.
The performance is presented in the context of ANIMFEST, and specifically MULTIMATION-Metamorphosis#

Concept, Creation, Performance: Katerina Drakopoulou

Katerina Drakopoulou is an actor, Butoh dancer, and physical/dance theatre trainer. Following her postgraduate studies (MA in Ensemble Physical Theatre, University of Huddersfield; MA in Performance, Goldsmiths College; BA in Drama and Theatre Studies, University of Kent), she worked as a Lecturer at the University of Leeds and at Manchester Metropolitan University. Since 2010 she has been running classes and workshops that focus on psychophysical approaches to acting. She has performed in various productions in Greece, England, Japan, and the U.S. and has collaborated with world-renowned Butoh artists such as Tetsuro Fukuhara, Valentin Tszin, and the Torifune Butoh-Sha company. In March/April 2016, she worked as a facilitator for the Marina Abramovic method at the Benaki Museum in Athens. In April 2016, she presented her new solo, long-durational, site-specific Butoh performance, entitled “22 stops” at the “In Progress Feedback Festival”. The work was also presented at the Benaki Museum in the context of “[Mis/Dis] Placed: Performances” at Athens Photo Festival 2016 and at Beton7 in the context of the “Visions – V Ideas, Performances, 3rd Edition”.
Ioulia Ladogianni is a visual artist, specialized in photographic image and in fine art as social practice. She took part in group exhibitions in Greece, England and Spain. Her work was displayed in a solo exhibition during the International Month of Photography in Athens. She collaborated on the project 22 stops, displayed at Benaki Museum during Athens Photo Festival and the Beton 7 gallery. She has a BA(Hons) degree in photography and fine art as social practice from the School of Art & Design of Wolverhampton University in the U.K. She is photography teacher in several Colleges and seminars of creative photography. She is a member of Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
