“A pianist goes to the Opera”
Pianist Dimitris Anousis presents a piano recital with rare, impressive, virtuosic transcriptions, "Grand Fantaisies de concert", made by famous composers-pianists (Hummel, Liszt, Thalberg, etc.) of the 19th century on the most well known and popular musical themes from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Bellini, Wagner, Bizet. The recital culminates with "Tannhäuser" (Wagner/Liszt), which is one of the most demanding piano transcriptions of the entire piano repertoire.
