Το Cuarteto Soltango αντιπροσωπεύει την επόμενη γενιά αυθεντικού #tango, εμπλουτίζοντας τον πλούσιο ήχο μιας παραδοσιακής orquesta típica με τη μαστοριά της μουσικής δωματίου. Συνδυάζοντας μοναδικά βιολί, βιολοντσέλο, μπαντονεόν και πιάνο, μπολιάζουν το αργεντίνικο tango της χρυσής εποχής με την παράδοση των συναυλιών μουσικής δωματίου. Ερμηνεύουν μια μεγάλη ποικιλία από κλασικά στυλ tango, από τους εμβληματικούς Anibal Troilo, JUAN D Arienzo και Lucio Demare μέχρι τους πρωτοπόρους του tango nuevo, Osvaldo Pugliese και Horacio Salgán, σε συναρπαστικές ενορχηστρώσεις του Martin Klett.
Από την ίδρυσή του το 2008, το κουαρτέτο έχει επανειλημμένα προσκληθεί για εμφανίσεις στα μουσικά φεστιβάλ Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival και Oberstdorf. The Cuarteto Soltango epitomises the next generation of authentic #tango, combining the luscious sound of a traditional orquesta típica with the verve of true chamber musicianship. With the unique combination of violin, cello, bandoneón, and piano, they connect the Argentine tango of the Golden Age with the tradition of chamber music concerts. They interpret a wide variety of classic tango styles, ranging from icons Anibal Troilo, JUAN D Arienzo, and Lucio Demare right up to the pioneers of the Tango Nuevo, Osvaldo Pugliese and Horacio Salgán, in alluring arrangements by Martin Klett.
Since it was founded in 2008, the quartet was invited to perform repeatedly at the music festivals of Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and Oberstdorf. Since then, the four have played at a number of international festivals — most recently at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, the Sprungbude Heidelberg, and the Studio Concert series at the Bavarian Radio, Munich.
