Institutions and online communities which fund, host and support films as well as discussions specific to the medium of cinema have invited industry professionals and students to make films at home as a way to support and encourage creativity during a period of physical distancing. The session will discuss responses to the call to stay creative and will offer advice on how to create a film while at home. Dr Costas Constandinides will be joined by Dr Christina Georgiou and film director/screenwriter/producer Andreas “Splash” Kyriacou to discuss the challenges of staying creative during the pandemic, Kyriacou’s made at home desktop short Strain Roulette and Dr Georgiou’s involvement in the film as a composer-sound designer.
