Industrial Technologies for Schools

Industrial Technologies for Schools is a national outreach activity organised in the context of the Industrial Technologies 2014 Conference, participated by student teams from eleven Greek schools. The activity aims at acquainting students with modern industrial technologies, including nanotechnologies, advanced materials and new production technologies. It will engage them in a debate about the relevance of industrial technologies with the grand societal challenges of Europe (e.g. resources efficiency, ageing society, innovative societies etc.).

At the second stage of the activity, the school teams have addressed the question “What can NMP technologies do for addressing the grand societal challenges with a view to year 2020?” and conceptualised a product / service based on advanced NMP technologies that may address in a novel way an everyday life problem associated with Europe’s Grand Societal Challenges. On Friday, 11th of April 2014 (Conference Day 3), a dedicated workshop will take place, where all school teams participating in the activity will present their ideas on stage. The competition results will be announced at the end of the Workshop and an award will be given to the winning teams.

Interesting showcases at the exhibition area

Apart from the over 60 exhibitors, representing industry, research, EU projects, and other organisations, the IndustryTech exhibition area will feature two interesting showcases:
  • The FutureFlash! will allow its visitors to see, touch and explore fascinating inventions covering the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, materials and high-tech manufacturing.
  • The Greek Showcase will highlight excellent Greek research results and innovative companies presenting cutting edge technology and the products of the future.
Register to the event now to make sure that you have this chance to get new ideas and connections to your own work!

If you are interested in added visibility by being present at the exhibition area, there are a couple of stands still available - please contact Ms. Terhi Marttila as soon as possible for more information! The IndustryTech 2014 exhibition is organised by Spinverse in parallel with the Industrial Technologies 2014 event.

Important links and notices
In order to help you in planning your stay and in finding the right contacts during the event, we have listed the most relevant links for you. Please also have a look at the event website and do not hesitate to contact the organisers in case of any questions!
Please also note that the official Professional Conference Organiser for Industrial Technologies 2014 is Skinika, together with their partner Skybeat Holidays. The event organisers have heard about several companies and organisations - pretending to act in the name of the organisers - to push speakers and other conference delegates over the phone and via email to commit to hotel bookings. Please be aware of these scams and contact the organisers when unsure!http://www.industrialtechnologies2014.eu
