Οι εξελίξεις γύρω από την ταυτότητα φύλου και τον σεξουαλικό προσανατολισμό φέρνουν το ζήτημα στο προσκήνιο του δημόσιου διαλόγου πιο δυναμικά από ποτέ. Η Στέγη του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση κι η Γραμμή Ψυχολογικής Στήριξης 11528 - Δίπλα σου, σε συνεργασία με το Deree - Αμερικανικό Κολλέγιο Ελλάδος και με τη υποστήριξη της Πρεσβείας των ΗΠΑ στην Αθήνα, οργανώνουν ένα πρωτοποριακό συμπόσιο με σκοπό την παρουσίαση της αιχμής των ιδεών της ακαδημαϊκής έρευνας, εστιάζοντας στις τρέχουσες προκλήσεις και τις πρόσφατες εξελίξεις, διαμορφώνοντας έναν ασφαλή χώρο κοινωνικού διαλόγου.
Το συμπόσιο απευθύνεται σε επαγγελματίες ψυχικής υγείας, φοιτήτριες και φοιτητές, εκπαιδευτικούς, αλλά και σε όσες κι όσους ενδιαφέρονται για τα θέματα της ταυτότητας φύλου ή/και του σεξουαλικού προσανατολισμού. Θα δοθούν βεβαιώσεις παρακολούθησης.

Gender identities and sexual orientation are rapidly becoming a central issue. In the public sphere and outside the halls of academia, increasingly people are using terms related to these issues, sometimes without fully understanding the underlying theory and concepts behind them. In this context, the Onassis Cultural Centre and the national LGBTQ+ helpline “11528 - by your side,” in collaboration with Deree – The American College of Greece and with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens are organizing a one-day symposium on gender and sexual identities.
Top experts from across the discipline will present cutting edge research and ideas, and will discuss current challenges and recent advances.
This is a symposium for social science students, practitioners and educators, and anyone who keeps an open and questioning mind on issues regarding gender identities and sexual orientation. Students will receive certificate of attendance.
