Ένας από τους πιο ταλαντούχους χορευτές της Βραζιλίας έρχεται για πρώτη φορά στην Αθήνα, με ένα workshop τεχνικής σύγχρονου χορού στο Quilombo Lab.

Το μάθημα είναι σχεδιασμένο έτσι ώστε να προετοιμάσει τους χορευτές-τριες να είναι έτοιμοι-ες για κάθε είδος κινητικής διαδικασίας και χορού.
Η φράση "Χρησιμοποιώντας την ισορροπία" είναι μια βασική αρχή και θέμα εργασίας στη διάρκεια αυτού του workshop. Ο Gustavo συνδυάζει όλη την κινητική του γνώση, από την Capoeira ως το κλασικό μπαλέτο, με την επαγγελματική του εμπειρία, συνεργαζόμενος με μεγάλες ομάδες χορού, αλλά και ως freelanser, προσφέροντας απίστευτη ποσότητα πληροφοριών στους χορευτές-χορεύτριες.

Το μάθημά του είναι έντονα σωματικό, και κινείται από λεπτό σε λεπτό σε μια μοναδική διαδικασία. Θερμαίνει τους χορευτές μέσα από περίπλοκες ασκήσεις στο πάτωμα καθώς κινούνται προς τα εμπρός και στη συνέχεια δουλεύει με συνδυασμούς πιρουετών και κινήσεων σε σχέση με το πάτωμα. Εστιάζει στην ενίσχυση της ολισθητικής κίνησης, επιτρέποντας στο χορευτή να κυλήσει ομαλά στη ροή, συσσωρεύοντας ένα μεγάλο κινητικό λεξιλόγιο.
Στο τέλος του μαθήματος δημιουργεί ένα συνδυασμό χρησιμοποιώντας όλα τα εργαλεία με τα οποία έχει εργαστεί στο μάθημα.

Το σεμινάριο απευθύνεται σε επαγγελματίες χορευτές και σε αρχάριους, σε διαφορετικά τμήματα.

Contemporary technique class

Gustavo designs his class to prepare dancers to be ready -
for any type of work, any style of dance.
“Using the balance” is a key phrase to him, which will be
worked on throughout his class. He combines all his movement
knowledge, from Capoeira to Classical Ballet, in addition to
a lifetime of professional experience in companies and as a
freelancer, offering an incredible amount of information for
dancers.
His class is very physical, unique all the while: he warms
his dancers up by intricate floor work exercises, moving on
to pirouette combinations, followed by movement across the
floor (focusing on strengthening the dancer’s body by
sliding, gliding, rolling etc. across the floor - allowing
the dancer to accumulate a vast vocabulary of movement), to
conclude he creates a combination using all the tools worked
on throughout the class.

The workshop is addressed to professional dancers and also beginners in two different classes.

Short bio:
Gustavo Oliveira, choreographer, dancer and teacher, former principal of the CPBC in Portugal, began his successful career in Brazil. In the season 2010/11 he was listed as one of the best dancers in the world in Dance Europe, in 2017 he received the award of "Best Interpreter of Contemporary Dance" by the National Academy of Rome. He has choreographed for various companies throughout Europe (Opus Ballet (IT), CPBC (PT), Budapest Dance Theatre (HU), Company Chameleon (UK) to mention a few). Currently he is choreographing for his project based company G.O.D.P. Gustavo has recently become a member of the International Dance Council, CID c/o UNESCO and continues to freelance throughout Europe choreographing, dancing and teaching for companies, academies and private schools.
