ΚΑΛΛΟΣ. Η Υπέρτατη Ομορφιά | KΑLLOS. The Ultimate Beauty

Το Μουσείο Κυκλαδικής Τέχνης σε συνεργασία με το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού παρουσιάζει την εμβληματική, αρχαιολογική έκθεση «ΚΑΛΛΟΣ. Η Υπέρτατη Ομορφιά».
Η έκθεση θα διαρκέσει από τις 29 Σεπτεμβρίου 2021 έως τις 16 Ιανουαρίου 2022 και πραγματοποιείται με τη γενναιόδωρη υποστήριξη της L'Oréal Group

Η αρχαία ελληνική λέξη «Κάλλος» σημαίνει «ομορφιά» και συσχετίζεται τόσο με το γυναικείο όσο και με το ανδρικό φύλο.
Ωστόσο, η έννοια του «Κάλλους» στην υπέρτατη διάστασή της, δεν είναι απλώς μια λέξη που σημαίνει μόνο ομορφιά. Είναι ένα ιδεώδες που αναπτύχθηκε στην αρχαία ελληνική σκέψη και αναφέρεται στο συνδυασμό της φυσικής εμφάνισης και των αρετών της ψυχής.
Σε αυτή τη διάσταση του «Κάλλους» επικεντρώνεται η έκθεση αναδεικνύοντας τη συμβολή της αρχαίας Ελλάδας στον καθορισμό της έννοιας της «ομορφιάς» μέχρι και σήμερα.

KΑLLOS. The Ultimate Beauty
•
The Museum of Cycladic Art in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports is presenting the emblematic, archaeological exhibition “KALLOS. The Ultimate Beauty”.
The exhibition will run from the 29th of September 2021 until the 16th of January 2022 and will take place with the generous support of L'Oréal Group

The ancient Greek word Kállos essentially means beauty and is associated with both the female and the male sex.
However, the concept of Kállos in its ultimate dimension is not a word signifying merely beauty. It is an ideal that was developed in ancient Greek and describes a combination of the physical appearance with the virtues of the soul.
The exhibition refers to this dimension of Kállos, enhancing the contribution of ancient Greece to the definition of the meaning of “Beauty” through time.
