“Can love survive when all we do is swipe?”
Nikos Fytas’ new play, “(Love me) Tinder”, premieres at Theatre of the NO, Athens' first English-speaking theatre, on Monday, November 10th at 21:00. A bilingual, polyphonic performance that explores love and “connection” in the age of algorithms, where desire meets data, and every confession turns into a notification.
Greek and English intertwine with performance, theatre, dance, song, live-looping, projections, data leaks and sound layers, creating an experience that feels less like a play and more like an electric confession.
From dusk till dawn, five characters meet in the home of a meta-pop star. Alcohol flows, masks fall, and systems of belief clash as love is performed, betrayed, and redefined. Campari dissolves resistance, while champagne, for the daring few turns into tinder pink. By sunrise, the plural we collides with the singular I, leaving only what cannot be captured in a screenshot.
More than a story about dating or social media, “(Love me) Tinder” is an inquiry into how desire, language, and technology reshape the human experience.
The performance stands at the heart of Theatre of the NO’s dramaturgical vision for the 2025–2026 season, reflecting Athens’ polyglot coexistence and asserting that multilingual theatre is not an exception, but a necessity in a city that continually reinvents its voice.

“(Love me) Tinder approaches love as a living system. The stage is mapped between the private and the public, where language, sound, and the body coexist.
Each performance is a workshop of live writing: the material is recycled, transformed, and rewritten before the audience’s eyes. I am interested in how language is distorted through social media and chatbots, how memory persists like a screenshot, and how desire resists quantification. If a shiver or a silence reaches the audience, the experiment has succeeded.”— Nikos Fytas

Το νέο έργο του Νίκου Φυτά, (Love me) Tinder, κάνει πρεμιέρα στο Theatre of the NO, το πρώτο αγγλόφωνο θέατρο της Αθήνας, τη Δευτέρα 10 Νοεμβρίου στις 21:00. Πρόκειται για μια δίγλωσση, πολυφωνική performance γύρω από τον έρωτα και τη “σύνδεση” στην εποχή των αλγορίθμων, εκεί όπου η επιθυμία συναντά τα δεδομένα και κάθε εξομολόγηση μετατρέπεται σε «ειδοποίηση».
Ελληνικά και αγγλικά διασταυρώνονται με θέατρο, χορό, τραγούδι, performance, live-looping, προβολές, data leaks και ηχητικά layers, δημιουργώντας μια εμπειρία που θυμίζει περισσότερο ηλεκτρική εξομολόγηση παρά θεατρική παράσταση. Από το σούρουπο ως την αυγή, πέντε χαρακτήρες συναντιούνται στο σπίτι μιας meta-pop star. Το ποτό ρέει, οι μάσκες πέφτουν και τα συστήματα πεποιθήσεων συγκρούονται καθώς οι σχέσεις δοκιμάζονται, καταρρέουν και ξαναχτίζονται.
Περισσότερο από μια ιστορία για το dating ή τα social media, το (Love me) Tinder ερευνά πώς ο λόγος, η επιθυμία και η τεχνολογία μεταμορφώνουν τη σύγχρονη εμπειρία.
Η παράσταση αποτελεί τον πυρήνα του φετινού δραματουργικού σχεδιασμού του NO, μιας σεζόν που επιδιώκει να αιτιολογήσει γιατί το αγγλόφωνο θέατρο ανήκει στην Αθήνα, γιατί η ίδια η πόλη είναι πολύγλωσση, αντιφατική και απρόβλεπτη, όπως και ο έρωτας.

«Το (Love me) Tinder προσεγγίζει τον έρωτα ως ένα ζωντανό σύστημα. Η σκηνή χαρτογραφείται ανάμεσα στο ιδιωτικό και το δημόσιο, όπου η γλώσσα, ο ήχος και το σώμα συνυπάρχουν.
«Το (Love me) Tinder προσεγγίζει τον έρωτα ως ένα ζωντανό σύστημα. Η σκηνή χαρτογραφείται ανάμεσα στο ιδιωτικό και το δημόσιο, όπου η γλώσσα, ο ήχος και το σώμα συνυπάρχουν.
Κάθε παράσταση είναι ένα εργαστήριο ζωντανής γραφής: το υλικό ανακυκλώνεται, μετασχηματίζεται και ξαναγράφεται μπροστά στα μάτια του κοινού.
